Las Vegas Airports

In close proximity to Las Vegas are a number of airports, the most notable of which is Harry Reid International Airport, Laughlin Regional Airport, Nellis Air Force Base Airport, and Henderson Executive Airport. Every airport offers its passengers a unique selection of services, such as flights, car rentals, hotels, and other conveniences.

As an illustration, American Airlines and Delta Air Lines both rely heavily on their principal hubs at McCarran International Airport. It is the primary entry point to Las Vegas and contains a wide array of retail establishments and dining options.

Southwest Airlines is the primary airline that operates out of Laughlin Regional Airport, which can be found just outside of Las Vegas. It is the airport that is located in the closest proximity to both the Lake Mead National Recreation Area and the Hoover Dam.

The United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence may be found on Nellis Air Force Base, which is situated south of Las Vegas in Nevada. Visitors can participate in military aviation training programs and witness demonstrations while flying in this area.

The Henderson Executive Airport can be found to the north of Las Vegas, and it is the airport that is most convenient for getting to Lake Tahoe. Travellers who favor more intimate aircraft and calmer airspace should use this option whenever possible.

About 7 miles to the south of the Las Vegas downtown area is where you'll find Harry Reid International Airport, also known as Code Las Vegas. American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, and US Airways are some of the airlines that provide service to and from this airport.

At Harry Reid International Airport, there are two separate buildings known as terminals. Terminal 1 handles flights within the United States, while Terminal 2 handles flights to and from other countries. Parking garages are available at both of the terminals. Although there are no hotels in the immediate vicinity of the airport, there are a number of hotels within easy walking distance.

Taxi service, shuttles, and buses are the modes of transportation that link Terminal 1 to the Strip. During peak hours, shuttle services operate every 15 minutes, whereas they only run once an hour during off-peak hours. The terminal and the Strip are connected by a bus service that operates at regular intervals of one hour during peak hours and every hour during non-peak hours. Outside of both terminals, passengers can easily access taxis.

Take Interstate 15 northward in the direction of McCarran International Airport from the Strip. This will bring you to the airport. Take the exit onto Paradise Road, and then continue to follow the signs that lead to the airport. Take Highway 93 eastbound towards Henderson when you are leaving the airport. After making a left onto Flamingo Avenue, continue on this road until you reach the airport.

You may reach the Strip by taking the SkyBus from the airport. During rush hour, the bus comes every 20 minutes, however during off-peak hours, it only comes every 40 minutes. The ticket price is $5 for both directions.

North Las Vegas Airport

The North Las Vegas Airport provides direct service to a number of destinations within the United States. These destinations include Phoenix, Denver, Salt Lake City, Dallas, Houston, Orlando, Austin, and Atlanta. There is no such thing as a direct flight to an overseas destination.
